Hello everyone,
First, I want to express our profound gratitude for all the love and support we have seen and felt this past week. Every message, card, meal and gift is seen and means so much to us- we are truly blessed to be surrounded by people who are going to such lengths to help us during our time of need.
I also wanted to take a few moments to give an update on Alec-
The first few days of care for Alec were mainly focused on the swelling of his brain- we were told to expect high swelling for several days. Friday afternoon, Alec's medical team took him for an updated CT, which showed the swelling was increasing so they needed to take him for an emergency surgery where they would remove a part of his skull to give his brain more room to swell.
Thankfully, the surgery was a success, and his swelling numbers are back to a normal range his medical team is comfortable with. Alec still has a long road ahead of him for recovery and there are still a lot of unknowns at this time. We will continue to post updates as we feel comfortable to do so.
Please keep Alec and the family in your prayers;
Pray for rest and healing for Alec
Pray for minimum damage as we continue to put the pieces together
Pray for peace and strength for the family, especially Nicole- we are tired and there are days that weigh on us heavier than others- please pray that God restores our strength and that He fully restores Alec.
Jeremiah 32: 17- "O Sovereign Lord! You made the Heavens and earth by Your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You!"
