She just finished a 5-day NDT intensive 💪 — 4 hours a day with her PT & OT working together. NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment) is a hands-on therapy that helps children with neuromuscular conditions like cerebral palsy move more efficiently and independently. Her therapists guided her through repeated, specific movement patterns to improve trunk control, elongate her ribcage, and strengthen coordination. By practicing these movements over and over, her brain builds new pathways, making it easier for her to access these movements on her own in daily life. It was intense, but she gave it her all! 

 

That week cost $6,600, and we’re already preparing for the next stop ➡️ North Carolina at the end of September for a 2-week NDT/DMI intensive. This program adds Dynamic Movement Intervention, which focuses on functional motor patterns and helps her move more independently. It costs $7,000 + travel, lodging, food, and rental car.

 

On top of it all, she’s still navigating tummy troubles (colonoscopy & endoscopy scheduled for October), but she continues to amaze us with her resilience. 💜
