Sorry for the delay in updates! We made it home earlier this week-on Sunday night around 8pm. It was a rush to get the most important items unpacked, kids get more wiggles out, and then we had to try to get them to go to bed! I think everyone’s body is still readjusting to being back in central time and a different environment than we had been for three weeks.
The drive home was overall smooth, our hotel stop was a bit bumpy-later than we had hoped to get there and then they only had a king room when we had booked a two queen room with a sofa bed. Thankfully they found an extra bed and had a crib for Aila so things were all ok in the end.
Next day also went smooth but was just LONG. Everyone just wanted to be home!
I ended up not feeling great overnight Sunday into Monday so unpacking took a little longer and we are still recovering. We ran head first into the week with Kyle on call, kids for in school, back to after school activities, Aila starting equine therapy Wednesday, and various therapies and appts throughout the week. So, we were very focused on just making it through!
Hopefully this weekend we can catch up a little more. The dust is still settling and as we get EOB’s from the time at NAPA we will see how much insurance actually covered. We are also still getting back into the process of applying for home care nursing for Aila, which is quite the process. I’m sure I could go on and I with a list of those types of things that we are back to working in after somewhat of a break from some of these things while in Colorado, but that will get too long for this update!
Aila finished out her intensive well, and her last day she was in a really good mood. We kept telling her “last day”! She really did pull through and work hard so she definitely got what we were saying.
Now we are trying to figure out how to work some of what she worked on into daily routines as they are quite full, and Aila sometimes cooperates and sometimes is quite resistant.
We aren’t sure now if we will be doing the intensive in November-but hopefully that will still happen, me either way we will be doing g our best to continue some life updates, Aila updates, etc here!
Here’s a picture of Aila getting her certificate for completing this intensive!
