Aiden Truong
Good evening everyone,
Many things have happened since the last update. Two drains were placed in Aiden's abdomen and pelvic area Thursday afternoon. They are working - we see fluid releasing down the tubing daily. The antibiotics are also working. The tests came back that they were not resistant so this is an answered prayer. He will continue these antibiotics for two weeks. We do know his tubing for his shunt has been infected with this infection. We can also confirm it has not reached his shunt area as of now. This can take some time to travel but it will reach there at some point as the antibiotics are unable to treat the tubing area. He has several things in his body that can be impacted by this horrible infection - shunt, cranioplasty and feeding tube.
Our goal this week is to get him home to Los Angeles. There are a lot of moving parts with this and varying conversations with medical teams here and in LA. The important fact is Aiden has been medically cleared for this flight. I will not go into much detail with that now as being able to travel is a blessing but it is also risky due to his condition. We will be going home the same way we came - private medical flight. The only difference is we have to pay for this flight, which is very costly.
What I would like for you all to do is share this page, keep this circling to reach as many people as possible. Aiden's medical needs and return flight are costly. Insurance is providing the bare minimal, which is devasting to anyone that needs support beyond the hospital. Please continue to send those prayers as well. He needs them. We need them!
