Autism & Special Needs Parent Advocate | Family Support & Resource Navigation
Why families come to me
Families come to me when they’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, or struggling to navigate the world of autism and special needs services. As both an experienced educator and a parent of autistic children, I understand how difficult it can be to find resources, navigate school systems, and advocate for your child while balancing the demands of everyday life. I offer compassionate, judgment-free support to help families understand their options, find resources, prepare for meetings, and feel more confident advocating for their children. My goal is to help parents feel heard, supported, and less alone in the process.
Lived experienceAs a parent of two autistic children, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate diagnoses, therapies, educational services, and systems that can sometimes feel impossible to understand. I understand the exhaustion of constantly advocating for your children, searching for answers, and trying to figure out what support is available while also meeting the needs of your family. Alongside my lived experience, I bring over a decade of experience in early childhood education, including working with children with special needs, as well as a master’s degree in Education focused on Curriculum and Instruction. Through my work as a nonprofit Parent Ambassador, facilitating parent support groups, and building inclusive community spaces, I’ve made it my mission to help families feel less alone and more empowered. I believe parents deserve to be heard, respected, and supported without judgment. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Track record
I have experience facilitating support groups for parents of children with disabilities and serving as a Parent Ambassador for a nonprofit that helps families navigate autism, access resources, and better understand their children’s needs. Through this work, I provide peer support, share resources, help parents navigate unfamiliar systems, and work to build inclusive, supportive communities. I also founded a local inclusive play and friendship group to help families connect, reduce isolation, and create welcoming spaces for children of all abilities. My approach to advocacy is compassionate, family-centered, and focused on empowering parents to feel informed, heard, and supported.
