Help Angie & Adam After Major Accident
Lots of things going on in Alabama lately!
Do you remember that video of Angie the day she got the go ahead to walk? Guess who doesn’t need a walker AT ALL???? As a family we made a trip to the Birmingham Zoo this past weekend…. We estimated that we walked about 2.5 miles. Angie did that with no assistance. She did take over pushing the stroller part way through the day. The stroller gave her some added support. We all had a great time in the sunshine. Angie, Adam, Anaya all ended up taking a very good nap afterward.
Therapy started last week - the therapists said they couldn’t believe Angie’s range of motion that was basically done all on her own. More therapy was scheduled for this week but a glitch in the plans made it need to be rescheduled. The number one goal for Angie from therapy is to be able to pick Anaya up to hold her.
Angie and Adam got a fresh coat of paint in the largest bedroom of their house and Adam got their room switched there. Anaya got a fresh coat of lavender paint in the room Angie and Adam vacated and is currently sleeping soundly in her new room. Tomorrow the guest room will be redone.
There was an attorney who was working with Angie and Adam and the attorney declined to take their case this past Friday. They say that there is really no one company that is at fault for the accident that could be held negligent. Unfortunately, this means that there is nothing that Angie and Adam could even make a settlement for. The other driver was uninsured completely. Angie and Adam only had liability insurance and had no Uninsured Motorist Coverage. This means that there are no funds to replace their vehicle. There are no funds to help with expenses. There are no funds for pain and suffering. No funds for anything.
Last week, Adam was told that his work could no longer hold his position for him. They did tell him they would reach out if his replacement doesn’t pan out. Just another wrench in this entire situation. With the amount of appointments needed, Adam cannot commit to working a 40 hour week at this time. Until therapy clears her to hold Anaya, Adam will need to stay home to care for Anaya full time. They are exploring what jobs either of them can do from home.
How can you help?
If you pray, please include them in your prayers.
If you can help financially, they could really use a hand right now.
If you know of a car hauling company that can get them a deal to get their Camaro moved from Tucson to Birmingham, let us know - this would give them the second vehicle they need for now that Adam could fix to sell.
If you can help with household needs through Amazon, we will be updating their list.
If you know of a place that is looking for help remote, they would love that!
Thank you again, so very much for everything!
