A heartfelt thank you

I've been trying to find the right words all month. Every time I check the registry and see another name, I'm reminded how lucky we are. I have cried more tears than I ever have in the last 41 days. I spend time with Angie and I know that she puts on a brave face but is tired, drained, and just wants to be better. I spend time with Adam and I know he has stepped up just as I imagined he would - but even more so. Together, they have seen each other at their best, and at the worst, all in a mere 41 days. They shouldn't have to go through this, but they are.   

If you gave, shared, or even just sent a kind message, thank you. It matters more than you know. Thank you for being there with us through this journey.

Today's photo is a shot I took of Angie & Adam the week before Anaya was born. We went to a park to snap a couple of photos and as we were leaving, we turned around to see this wall covered with little hand prints.
