Thank you to everyone who donated to help me cover the hospital, rehab and other recovery costs. Especially thank you for all the prayers! It’s been a month since the accident and every morning is a new reality of the loss of our dreams together. It hurts! It sucks! It’s not fair!
Last Saturday (Oct 3) was the Celebration of Life for Cameron and it was overwhelming to see all the people, young and old who came to share stories of how Cam affected their lives. He loved life and people and gave so much and still had so much to give.
Crestline Exempted Village School District where Cam taught for only three short weeks is establishing a scholarship in his name. The National Honor Society is creating a rock garden as a memorial to him. In only those few days with students and staff, he had an impact!
I am healing great physically. The fractures cause me some discomfort as they continue to heal but they are healing. I still need assistance with some things until the clavicle is completely healed. Since I can’t raise my arm yet I can’t wash my hair so I got my hair cut. I may look a little different next time you see me.
Life will go on…it will just be different. My family and friends and Cam’s family have been here every day for me and are supporting me in every way they can. But it’s still hard. I have lots of counseling to get through…one day at a time……
Thank you so much! And continued prayers are appreciated!
