In Support of The Mak Family

Wesley Mak was the kindest, friendliest, most caring and thoughtful person not only I, but everyone he's ever interacted with, has met. He instantly lit up a room when he arrived. When you spoke with Wes, it was as if you were the only thing in the world that mattered at that moment. He truly listened, and dug deep to understand every single person in his life because he truly cared about them. He remembered conversations with them and reached out and recalled them so naturally, it felt like time never skipped a beat every time you spoke with him.

He is someone many people, including myself, aspire to be like. A family man, a consummate professional, a foodie, a world traveler, a kind soul. To have known him is to have loved him. Having him in your life made your life just that much more interesting and worth living for.

I could go on and on and on about the type of person Wes is, but if you knew him, you'd know there are simply not enough words that can be written down to sum up the person he is, the person he was, and the person he always will be.

Wes was taken from this world at far too young of an age of 39 and has left his beautiful family behind as he's ascended onto a higher plane, patiently waiting for us to join him again when it's our time.

Let's please collectively work together to ensure his beautiful and gracious wife Shannon, his incredibly smart and thoughtful daughter Amelia (3), bundle of cuteness son George (7 mo.), and rambunctious and sweet dog Pepper have all the support we can give them as they navigate this indescribable loss. If you met his family, you’d see so quickly why they were the center of his world. They deserve nothing less than the entire world.

I can't say here enough about how much Wes will be missed, but if you knew him even from a fleeting glance, you'll know it's more than one could possibly even imagine. Wes -- I love you, your family loves you, your friends love you, your colleagues love you, everyone whose life you've touched loves you. You are our inspiration to bring constant kindness to this world, to be naturally curious, to try that new dish or cuisine, to travel to that new place, and to ask people about themselves and learn who they are because you're genuinely interested in getting to know them. You're the best person I've ever had the pleasure to know and I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in the beyond.

I was a bit more quiet in the ADP office and Wes would always go out of his way to talk to me and ask me how I was doing and get to know me. Such a genuine person. I’m heartbroken for your loss. Thoughts and prayers.
